The genuine Comet driven pulley allows you to use a full length shaft key which is not possible on the generic pulley. We previously use the generic pulley and it held up great but we wanted the extra strength of the genuine pulley. You can see the pulley in action on the Robot Cantina youtube channel on the 670cc Renault project.
